The Fiji Under-19 women’s football team were thumped 9-1 by New Zealand at the Oceania Championships in Auckland today.

New Zealand made a strong start and scored five goals in the first spell to lead 5-nil at half-time.

The kiwis added another in the 66th minute to increase its lead as Fiji’s lone goal came in the 64th minute by Cema Nasau.

Fiji’s next match is against Samoa at 3pm on Monday.
