Fifteen players will represent Fiji in the Under-12 Oceania Baseball championship in Sydney next year.

This will be the first time Fiji will compete in the championship alongside New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Samoa and Tuvalu.

Fiji Baseball Acting Vice President Logavatu Tavo says they have been conducting trials to recruit national players to carry Fiji’s hope in Sydney.

“We’re impressed with the number of turnout especially the u-12 we’re focusing at the moment. They will be going away early next year to a under-12 championship in Sydney.”

The championship will begin on the 12th to the 16th of January, 2019 in Sydney.
