The Fiji under 23 rugby league side will be utilizing the Fiji National Rugby League Nines tournament as a form of preparation for the Commonwealth Championship in Australia.

FNRL Chief Executive Timoci Naleba says the national side needs to be put on a real test before the championship.

“Our players need some game time. They’ve been training during offseason. We will be testing them during the nines tournament. We hoping this tournament will enable them to better their skills.”
