The Vodafone Fiji Under 23 side has defeated Papua New Guinea 3-1 in the semi-final of the Olympic Qualifiers at the Pacific Games.

This puts the team one step away from the Olympics with the final on Sunday.

Napolioni Qasevakatini scored a hat-trick for the Fijians, while Tommy Semmy scored for PNG.

However, the side will be without Sakaraia Naisua who was red carded in the match.

In the second semi final, New Zealand plays Vanuatu at 4.30pm.
