June 18, 2012 5:02 am

Fiji Rugby Union national coaching director, Frank Boivert says the Under 20s can beat Italy with ease at the Junior World Championship on Saturday.

Following Fiji’s 20-29 loss to Samoa this morning, Boiverts says their weakness was not being able to defend properly out wide.

He adds, Italy will dominate scrums which, was a problem for the Baby Flying Fijians against Samoa, however, Fiji can beat the Italians out wide in one on one situations.

Boivert says expected to lead the forwards on Saturday is New Zealand-based prop, Alex Hodgeman who was outstanding against New Zealand last week.

Fiji and Italy will battle it out for 11th place and the loser will be relegated to Tier Two and compete in the Junior World Trophy in the United States next year.
