Fiji U20 players

November 5, 2014 5:42 pm

The Vodafone Fiji Under-20 players are not only being taught how to better their football skills but also to develop their lives off the field.

Fiji U20 coach, Ravinesh Kumar, says the inclusion of technical advisor, Frank Farina, has helped him and the players understand much more about football and life.

The side is currently in Australia playing warm-up games before featuring in the OFC President’s Cup, to be held in New Zealand from November 17-23.

Kumar says this is the best stage for the players to develop before taking part in the 2015 U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

“It’s really working well and the boys are understating slowly. They are not perfect but slowly they are adapting to the system and what we want them to do and what is important. They are learning day by day not only in football but they are also developing themselves morally and ethically.”

Meanwhile, the side plays its second tour match against the New South Wales Institute of Sports Academy side tomorrow.
