Vodafone Fiji Under-20 football coach Ravinesh Kumar says they are grateful for the hit out against the Australia Fiji All Stars last night, which gave his players a good assessment of their game.
Fiji beat the All Stars 3-0 but Kumar says the result doesn’t matter but it was the way in which his players adapted to the playing pattern.
The team has been trying out patterns set out by Kumar and technical advisor Frank Farina.
The juniors play the Newcastle Jets tomorrow before moving across to New Zealand to feature in the OFC President’s Cup.
The Fiji U20 will be playing Amicale in its opening match at the President’s Cup on November 17 at 7.30pm.
The second pool match is against Busaiteen of Bahrain on November 21 at 7.30pm.
You can catch live commentaries of Fiji’s matches on Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
