Fiji U19s turn to district games

Despite players taking a well deserved break, Vodafone Fiji Under 19 football coach Ravinesh Kumar will continue to monitor his players throughout the year.

He’s advised players to return to play for the district teams where he will also assess their performances at major local tournaments.

“Now the players will be going and participating in the district games and leagues and Vodafone Fiji FACT. Then after that time then we will discuss and decide what would and when are we calling but yes off course we will be calling them at intervals and checking their fitness level and technically just to see how they are.”

Later this month, the national side will officially be presented with their $50,000 bonus payout along with medals for their gallant effort to qualify for next year;s FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
