The Fiji under 19 Cricket team is gearing up for the 2017 International Cricket Council Under-19 East Asia Pacific World Cup Qualifier next month in Samoa.

Coach Josefa Rika says they are building their game plan to combat tough competitions which will be provided by their opponents.

“Vanuatu and PNG are ranked number one and two in the senior siders and actually they will be gunning for us and we got a crown to defend as well since we’re the defending champions and with Samoa playing at home and we will be very careful in approaching the three games.”

The tournament will be held from the 8th to the 16th of next month in Samoa.

The winner will progress to the 2018 Under 19 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
