Fiji U18 girls to bounce back

The Fiji Under-18 women’s side will look to get its Commonwealth Youth Games back on track after losing to Australia 36-0 in Samoa last night.

The Iliesa Tanivula-coached side will take on the Cook Islands and Tonga in its next pool matches today.

The Fiji men’s team, which thumped Cayman Islands 44-0 yesterday, faces Samoa today.

Fiji has two gold medals, two silver and a bronze at the Games – all from weightlifting.

Eileen Cikamatana won a silver medal in the women’s 63kg category while Maraia Moana won a bronze medal in the 69kg category.
