The Fiji Under 17 cricket side scored its first victory in the Pasifika Tri-Series, defeating Tonga this morning.

The visitors won the toss and opted to field first.

Fiji claimed 119 runs for the loss of 8 wickets with Saimoni Tuitoga top-scoring with 26 runs.

The Tongans only managed 58 runs after losing all its wickets, handing Fiji the win.

In the second match of the day, Vanuatu beat Tonga.

Fiji takes on Vanuatu in its next match at 9am tomorrow before facing Tonga at 1pm.
