Fiji Under 17 Football side has been drawn in a tough pool with Samoa, Solomon Islands and defending champions New Zealand in the OFC Under 17 Championship.
In the other pool, Tahiti is being grouped with Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea.
Fiji Under 17 coach, Shalen Lal says it’s a tough pool and he expects a competitive game against Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
“Yes I’m happy with the pool, it’s the first time for all the teams to be together in one pool and we have been working hard. All teams will be tough but we are working hard and will produce results in the game.”
Fiji plays Solomon Islands in its first game, then meets Samoa before facing New Zealand in its last pool match.
The OFC Under 17 Championships will be held from the 11th to 24th of February in Tahiti.
