Fiji U-18 7s lose to Australia

The Fiji men’s Under-18 7s rugby side lost to Australia 29-7 in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa.

This was the last pool game for the Ben Ryan-coached side before the semi-final later this evening.

Earlier today, the team drew 17-all with hosts, Samoa.

The women’s side defeated Tonga 21-15.

Both Fiji teams are through to the semi-finals this evening.

Meanwhile, swimmer, Yolani Blake has qualified for the women’s 50m freestyle B final.

Squash doubles reps, Neil Vakacavu and John Shackley lost to Bangladesh in two straight sets, 11-1 and 11-10.

Fiji’s current medal tally stands at 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and a bronze medal.

The Commonwealth Youth Games will draw to a close tomorrow.
