Fiji to play Canada in the first quaterfinal

The Fiji Airways 7s team will meet Canada in the first cup quarter final of the London 7s tonight.

After a scintillating show of quality 7s rugby against New Zealand in their last pool match earlier this morning, Fiji produce a clinical performance to outclassed them 27 – 7.

Right from the start of the match, Amenoni Nasilasila showed his class scoring Fiji’s first try.

It was the France-based duo who stole the show as Semi Radradra and Josua Tuisova both scoring in the first half.

The ferociousness of Fiji’s defensive structure saw the All Blacks scoreless in the first half as Fiji leads 17 – nil.

In the second half, Fiji continued their form with Tuisova scoring his second and Waisea Nacuqu scoring their last try as they beat New Zealand 27 – 7.

Fiji will take on Canada in the first Cup quarter-finals at 9.58pm tonight.

In the other quarterfinals, USA will battle Ireland at 10.20pm, South Arica meets New Zealand at 10.42pm while Australia will take on England in the last quarterfinals at 11.04pm.

The semi-finals will kick off at 1.48am tomorrow while the final will be played at 4.57am.

Meanwhile, Fiji also won their other pool matches convincingly beating Argentina 28 – 19 and in their second pool match, they defeated Scotland 39 – 12.
