December 8, 2014 3:02 am

The New Zealand President’s hockey side is the team to beat in the Oceania Pacific Cup Championship that is underway at the National Hockey Centre in Suva.

Fiji head coach, Hector Smith Senior says the Kiwis have fielded a second-string team to the Black Sticks squad and have top-quality players in the side.

“Well the New Zealand President’s side has come with some very seasoned players. In the men’s side, they have got one of the top drag flickers in the world, Hayden Shaw. He’s represented New Zealand in the Olympics and very high profile competitions. So they have got a very good side that’s come down, compared to previous years.”
