The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side will have a stiff hill to climb in the Cape Town tournament in South Africa this weekend.
Fiji bowed out of the Cup quarterfinal in Dubai after going down to USA 24-17.
The national team has not won on the South African soil since 2005 when they defeated Argentina 21-19 to claim the title.

Dubai champions New Zealand is the most successful team having won nine titles in South Africa.
They defeated the Pumas last year by 38-14 to win the tournament and they’re looking to defend their title again.
The Cape Town 7s will be held this weekend and Fiji is pooled with England, France and Kenya.
