Fiji through to Cup quarterfinals

The Vodafone Fiji 7s side finished unbeaten in the pool stages of the Cape Town 7s tournament in South Africa.

The side got off to a good start with a 34-19 win over Scotland last night.
Captain Osea Kolinisau and his men then found their rhythm in the second match with a 52-0 victory over Russia before demolishing Argentina 43-0.

Winger, Savenaca Rawaca has been in devastating form and amassed four tries on Day One while Apisai Domolailai and Vatemo Ravouvou have scored three tries each.

Ravouvou is ranked second in the top points-scorers list with 33 points, behind USA’s Madison Hughes (42).

The national side will now face France in the first Cup quarter-final at 11:04pm today.

In other quarter-final matches, New Zealand will meet Argentina, USA will face Kenya and Australia will take on South Africa.

If Fiji wins its quarter-final match, the side will face the winner from the match between Australia and South Africa in the Cup semi-final.

The Cup semi-finals start at 3:34am tomorrow and the Cup final will kick-off at 6:30am.
