Fiji thrashes New Cal 66-0 while NZ 7s defeated by Japan SDS

Fiji Airways Men’s Sevens team thrashed New Caledonia 66-0 in their third pool game of the Oceania 7s.

Fiji led 40-0 at halftime.

Simione Kuruvoli and Kavekini Tabu scored two tries each while Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Rusiate Matai, Waisea Nacuqu, Vilimoni Botitu and Josua Vakurunabili scored a try each for Fiji.

Fiji will now meet New Zealand at 7.26 tonight.

Meanwhile, the Japanese development 7s side defeated New Zealand 17-14 in the Oceania 7s at the ANZ Stadium.

The Japanese side thrashed Niue 50-0 in their first match and was thumped 31-0 by Fiji in their second game.
