Preparations are underway for the annual Fiji Sports Hall of Fame and Olympic Order Dinner later this month.

Present at the launch today was FASANOC chief executive Lorraine Mar as well as 1994 Fiji Sports Hall of Fame inductee and renowned athlete, Samu Yavala.

“We want to recognize the achievements that people like Mr Yavala have done as an athlete, especially at a time when we have so many athletes preparing for the 2015 Pacific Games, we want to promote people like Mr Yavala as role models.”

The Fiji Sports Hall of Fame will be held on November 21st at the Novotel Hotel in Lami.

So far, 37 athletes have been inducted into the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame since 1990.
