Team Fiji to the Pacific games in Samoa, is one of the youngest teams ever to represent the country.

Chef De Mission Patrick Bower says teams that have taken advantage of training in the 4 years gap, will have an upper hand, and is most likely to win medals.

Bower says, he is not expecting individual teams to bring in medals but believes the young contingent can finish a place better than the last outing in the Pacific games.

‘ If you recall, in the last Pacific games Fiji was ranked fourth, realistically putting all sports together, rather than giving each sports what gold medals prospects they have, we are looking at raising the bar and taking Fiji to third place in the overall medal tally”

Team Fiji will leave for Samoa on July 5^th.
