The Fiji Rugby Union will take disciplinary actions against the two rugby players who were found breaching the self-isolation requirements put in place by government.

Chief executive John O’Connor mentioned in a press release last night that they will report the matter to World Rugby and their respective clubs.

This comes after the Prime Minister in his national address the two rugby players failed to comply with COVID-19 directives.

One of the two players was brought into Sigatoka Hospital after he breached quarantine requirements.

However, he then slipped out of the hospital and disappeared. He was arrested later and is now in self-isolation at the Nadi Hospital.

O’Connor says Fiji Rugby strongly condemns such behavior and the players’ disregard for instructions to isolate themselves
