The Vodafone Fiji football womens team has created history by reaching its first ever final in the OFC Nations Cup in New Caledonia.

Fiji thumped Papua New Guinea 5-1 in the semifinal.

Trina Davis scored two goals while Luisa Tamanitoakula, Cema Nasau and Sofi Diyalowai scored a goal each in the game.

In the other semifinal New Zealand thumped host New Caledonia 8-nil.

Fiji faces New Zealand on Saturday.
