The Fiji Pearls Team is wary of Wales as they will rumble against each other at the Netball World Cup, this Friday.

She adds like any other teams, the Welsh side have come well prepared and will be a tough team to face.

“Wales sit one ranking below us at number eight. Avery good side and had a lot of preparation and had gone into Australia early in Tasmania for practice matches there and also had a nice build up with the European Championships and were in the Common Wealth Games last year. A very experienced side and Fiji met Wales twice in the World Cup…won one and lost one match. So we are expecting it to be very tough and very close.”

Carpenter adds the team is targeting a win in all their pool games.

The national side takes on Wales in their first preliminary round match in Sydney on Friday at 11:50am and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
