Fiji Pearls thump Sri Lanka

The Fiji Pearls side has won its first match in the Tier Two competition of the World Netball Championships currently underway in Australia.

The side hammered minnows Sri Lanka 77-31 this afternoon.

After the completion of pool games yesterday, the redrawing of pools sees Fiji, placed with Sri Lanka, Scotland and Barbados.

The second tier sees teams fighting for 9-16th positions at the World Cup.

The side plays Barbados at 2.20pm tomorrow.
