When the HSBC Sevens World Series leaders Fiji arrive in Dubai in a little over three week’s time, they will be looking to achieve a remarkable first.
The Fijians currently lead the World Series standings after claiming the first Cup title of the season on Australia’s Gold Coast in October but, amazingly, in the 13-year history of the IRB’s Series they have never managed a win in Dubai.
Former captain Setefano Cakau is expected to return but whether he assumes the leadership role, or the magnificent Levani Botia retains the honour, remains to be seen.

Only time will tell and there are now just four weeks until the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens at the Sevens stadium.
