Fiji netters beat Singapore

The Fiji Selection netball side defeated the Singapore 65-40 in the first of the three- match Series in Suva last night.

The match was Singapore’s first warm up match in preparation towards the Asian games in South Korea next month.

Fiji assistant Coach Alivina Waqa says while the players did well, there were still some areas to work on.

“We would like to improve on our defence and like yesterday as I can see there were really under pressure in defence when the Singapore team was on attack.”

Fiji plays its second match against Singapore at 6pm today.
