Fiji leads U20 standings

The Vodafone Fiji side has taken the lead on the points table after Match Day One of the OFC Under-20 Football Championships in Suva.

The Ravinesh Kumar coached side thumped American Samoa 4-0 and leads Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu on goal difference.

PNG created the biggest upset of the opening day, when the side beat the Solomons 2-0 last night.

In another game played, Vanuatu managed a scrappy 1-0 win over New Caledonia.

Today is rest day, before action resumes tomorrow, with Vanuatu meeting the Solomon Islands 2.30pm, before PNG battles American Samoa at 5pm.

Fiji plays New Caledonia at 7.30pm.
