“We have been a bit off on Futsal as Oceania was not bringing any tournaments here. Finally, they have decided to offer us to host the event and we are very happy and pleased to do that. We are working very closely with the Fiji Sports Council and things are falling into place. The outside teams will arrive later this week.”

Fiji will compete against New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu with the winner to qualify for the Futsal world Cup.

Fiji’s first match is against New Caledonia at 3pm next Monday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
