Fiji Football to honour 1988 legends

Fiji Football Association will honor the legends of 1988 who played and won against Australia.

Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf says these players would be the special quest during Courts Inter District Championship in Suva.

“We want to recognize and honor these legends by inviting them to our ordinary congress and be our special guest during the tournament. This was the team that defeated Australia 1-0 via a goal from Ravuama Madigi during the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.”

The IDC will take place from 5th to the 10th of October at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Meanwhile in the Vodafone Premier League matches tomorrow, Tavua plays Labasa at Garvey Park at 3pm and at the same time Ba faces Dreketi at Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba.

Four matches will be played on Sunday all starting at 3pm, Tavua plays Dreketi at Garvery Park, Lautoka faces Rewa at Churchill, and Nadi meets Suva at Prince Charles Park while Ba plays Labasa at Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba.
