“I’ve always wanted to focus on the young players. The duo have impressed me in the past league matches and tournaments and like I have said, I will give a chance to players who perform.”

New Zealand based Shravan Sharma, Krith Kumar and Roy Krishna have also been named.

England’s Scott Wara is also on the list but Gamel says he will need to prove himself in camp to make the traveling squad.

The squad moves into camp on the 19th of next month.

Fiji plays Indonesia on the 2nd of September.
