The Vodafone Fiji football team has dropped 8 places in the latest FIFA World rankings.

Fiji had initially moved up 17 places in the last ranking to 181, but has fallen to 189.

Cook Islands are the biggest climbers from the Oceania region, moving up 39 places to 166th, while Samoa is ranked 162 followed by American Samoa on 164.

New Caledonia and Tahiti are also ranked above Fiji.

Argentina remains the number 1 ranked side in the world, followed by Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Colombia, Spain, Brazil, Wales and Chile with England rounding off the top 10.

Meanwhile Fiji’s last international matches were against Tonga and American Samoa in August this year.
