Fiji Football Association CEO Bob Kumar says he is happy that each of the districts as well as the public has shown their support for the introduction of 90 minutes match format.

“Because of it being played over 90 minutes, we cannot play more than one match in a day. As a result, we had to extend the playing days. We understand the district associations are aware of it. The public had been crying for that we should introduce 90 minutes of soccer and now that we have done, we are sure that the public are enjoying game.”

Meanwhile Vodafone donated $75,000 to the organizers for the competition during the launch last night in Suva.

The winner of this year’s tournament will collect $15,000, the runner’s up walk away with $4000 and the semi-finalists will receive $1000 each.

The first round of the Vodafone Fiji FACT will be staged at Ratu Cakobau Park on June 20th -22nd.

The semi-finals and finals will be held on June 28th-29th.
