Fiji FA to decide on two protests next Saturday

July 24, 2014 12:21 am

The Fiji Football Association will decide next Saturday on the two protests made against Suva.

Ba and Navua have protested against the Whites, following their games in the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National League.

Fiji FA chief executive Bob Kumar says its Board of Control will meet in Ba next Saturday and the protest hearing will be on the agenda.

The two teams, which lost 1-0 and 3-2 respectively, claim that Suva’s Inia Boko and Abdul Mosheem, were not properly cleared to play in the games.

They claim the two shouldn’t have taken the field as the players didn’t acquire proper release from their previous club in Navua and only had district release.

Suva football is disputing this, saying all the proper procedures were followed and they have proof of this.

Meanwhile, in the league games on Saturday, Labasa meets Rewa at Subrail Park at 1.30pm.

On the same day, Nadi hosts Navua at Prince Charles Park, while Nadroga travels to Govind Park to take on Ba. Both games start at 3pm.
