Fiji FA eyes fans

The Fiji Football Association wants districts to build their fan base to attract big numbers in 2013.

Fiji FA was to have started their new season last weekend but had to postpone it due to Cyclone Evan.

Fan base is an area, which the parent body is working as they want spectator numbers to increase through the turnstiles.

Meanwhile, the opening round of the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National League will be played on Saturday January 12.

Tavua takes on Rewa, while Ba plays Nadroga at Govind Park.

At Subrail Park, Labasa will play Nadi, while Suva takes on Savuavu.

On Sunday, Savusavu plays Nadi, while Suva and Labasa do battle in the North, while Ba and Lautoka play at Churchill Park.
