Fiji FA expects more numbers at BOG today

A big turnout is expected at the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants football tournament today with some decisive matches on the cards.

Fiji Football Association Acting President, Tarunesh Reddy says, they are not too pleased with the turnout of fans yesterday and expect bigger numbers today.

“Not too impressed with the crowd today but we understand it is a Friday. There are some big matches lined up tomorrow (Saturday) and we expect a huge turnout tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, in matches played yesterday, Labasa edged Suva 1-nil, Ba and Rewa played to a nil-all draw, Lautoka thumped Dreketi 5-1 while Nadi beat Rakiraki 3-nil.

Looking at the points table, Lautoka leads Group A with three points, Ba and Rewa follow on a point each while Dreketi is yet to register a point.

In Group B, Nadi and Labasa have three points each with Suva and Rakiraki on zero.

In matches today, Dreketi battles Ba at 12pm, Nadi takes on Suva at 2pm, Labasa takes on Rakiraki at 4pm while Lautoka battles Rewa at 6pm.
