Fiji FA confirms new national coach

Fiji Football Association has confirmed that former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) assistant coach Christophe Gamel is the new coach for the Fiji national football team.

Association President Rajesh Patel says Gamel tops the list after the final interview.

Gamel replaces Australian Frank Farina whose services were ended after the Rio Olympics.

He is a professional football coach and has a Union of European Football Associations Pro-license.

PSG is considered one of the top clubs in France and has won 31 titles making it the most successful club in France.

Gamel not only coached but also played, he was a member of the A.S.D Nuova Cassino 1924 which is an Italian football club .

He is expected to arrive in the country on the 6th of next month.
