Fiji extends its lead in the standings

Following the successful outings of the Fiji Airways 7s team in London this morning, it has now extended its lead in the World 7s series standings.

Fiji now has167 points.

South Africa is still in second place with 160 points, and New Zealand is in third place with 133 points while Australia is in fourth place with 118 points.

Meanwhile, Fiji beat South Africa 29-17 in the cup final.

Fiji had earlier beaten Ireland 38 – 12 in the semifinal and hammered Canada 40 – 7 in the quarterfinal.

The last tournament will be held in Paris on Saturday and Sunday where the winner of the World Sevens Series will be crowned.
