Fiji expects tough battle against Estonia

November 18, 2017 3:31 am

The Fiji football team is anticipating a tough match against Estonia which kicks tomorrow.

Fijian coach Christophe Gamel says half a dozen local players are also unavailable through injury and he admits preparation has been less than ideal.

“So I didn’t have any games to prepare for Estonia which is for me another type of problem because I don’t know how my team will react for the rhythm. It will be difficult to be honest and also the weather is very bad in Lautoka – heavy rain – so difficult to find the field to train.”_

Estonia is ranked almost 100 places higher than Fiji at 80th in the world and Gamel is bracing for the worst-case-scenario.

Meanwhile, the Fiji-Estonia match kicks off at 3pm tomorrow at ANZ Stadium in Suva and you can catch the live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two, with voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
