Vodafone Fiji football coach Frank Farina says his team over achieved at the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.

The team returned to the country in the last hour and Farina says the result achieved was unexpected by a lot of people.

Farina adds that the players are disappointed after the match against Uzbekistan yesterday but it is a good thing to be not happy at not going further.

He says the players showed not only everyone else but themselves that given an opportunity, they can compete

Fiji lost its last group match against Uzbekistan 3-0 yesterday.

The side had earlier beaten Honduras 3-0 and lost 8-1 to Germany in their first match.
