The new 6-member national Bowling squad was announced at the Suva bowling club today.
Fiji Bowling president, Pramesh Chand , says this is the first time Fiji has been invited to play with the top five ranking nations in the world.
Chand adds that one of the players selected for the squad, Arun Kumar, has had winng outings in previous national tournaments and they are expecting good results.
However, other 6 selected players are mainly new to the national level.
The five other squad members are Semesa Naiseruvati, Samuela Tuigiliga, Jona Koroitama, David Atcheson and Illisoni Vakatakai.
The officials have also included a non-travelling reserve, Jare Josaia.
The team will travel to Australia to battle the other top 5, New Zealand, Scotland, Malaysia, South Africa and Australia.
The competition starts on the 14th of May.
