Fiji Beach volleyball prepares for overseas tour

Fiji will have build-up games in Australia and New Zealand in beach volleyball as they preparing for the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coach, Australia in April this year.

Fiji beach volleyball coach Todd Edwards says top players Lite Nima, Qilu Elliot, Inia Korowale and Iliseva Ratudina who represented Fiji in the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Port Vila, Vanuatu will be part of the eight players in the competitions that will represent Fiji.

“The team will gain a lot of exposure and experience as we want to do well in the Commonwealth Games. We are waiting for their visa to New Zealand where we are planning to play over two weekends which would be a good advantage to the teams.”

The team will depart next week for Australia.

The Commonwealth Games will be held from April 4-15.
