The Fiji Beach Volleyball players are on their toes everyday battling the heat at the National beach Court in Laucala Bay as they gearing up for their overseas tour next week and also the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Coach Todd Edwards says exposing players to the highest level of international competition is amongst the goals for these volleyballers.
“With us qualifying to the commonwealth games, International competition is key. We can only do so much in Fiji and we use to each other so we need to put them with different players, better players, different conditions and it’s the whole idea of this almost a month tour.”
Three men’s and two women’s teams will be traveling to Australia and New Zealand from next week, to ensure they get all the required training needed to tackle the best in the Commonwealth.
The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held from the 4th to the 15th of April.
