Australian Football League Fiji team is gearing for the 2017 AFL Oceania Cup to be held at Albert Park in Suva next month.

Development Officer Simon Highfield says they are preparing well to give the visitors a good run for their money.

“Fijian team has been training really well and the management has been underway and we’ve been getting good support and we got a really young squad that will provide good competition against the touring teams.”

Nauru, Tonga and Vanuatu including host Fiji along with other two touring Australian teams will compete in the Oceania Cup.

And from this a South Pacific representative team will be selected to attend the South Pacific High Performance Training Camp in Brisbane, Queensland in early 2018.
