The Vodafone Fiji sevens team has won its opening pool match at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.

Fiji beat PNG 17-0 with tries to Savenaca Rawaca, Isake Katonibau and Abele Yalayalatabua.

Fiji plays Guam at 6.46pm.

In a match played earlier, the Fijiana lost 26-7 to Australia in the opening match in the women’s division.
