Fiji 7s team must play as a team says Boivert

Fiji Rugby Union coaching director, Frank Boivert says although the Fiji 7s team is a strong outfit, they must play as a team.

Boivert agrees with earlier comments from Fiji’s voice of rugby, Graham Eden that the need to weed out individualism is crucial to Fiji’s success in Hong Kong this weekend.

“The first we will have to see is whether they will play as a team or as a group of individuals. As you can see all teams that are now in the circuit are very well organised in the game pattern that they use. This could be fatal for Fiji if they are not careful. So hopefully, the coaches have worked this out with the players. A team no matter how strong they are on paper if they do not go out and play collectively as a unit will not win any game at the end of the day.”
