The Fiji Sevens squad underwent their first training run at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks grounds in Nabua this afternoon.

Interim coach, Timoci Wainiqolo is expected to work closely with head coach, Alivereti Dere this week to implement set plays and work on player combinations.

For the first time this year, three national squads will be named with the main team sent to Australia to compete in the Gold Coast 7s next month while two remain on standby back home.

Fiji’s first match is against Scotland on October 13 followed by games against Tonga and Australia.
