Fiji 7s squad called to camp

The 16-member Fiji rugby squad for the Glasgow 7s in Scotland next month has been announced with players expected to march into camp next Tuesday.

Outside of the team that played in Hong Kong and Japan are squad members, Alipate Ratini, Niko Verekauta, Isake Katonibau and Leone Nakarawa.

The seasoned reps are Joji Ragamate, Ilai Tinai, Metuisela Talebula, Sikeli Vuruna, Jimilai Naikadawa, Waisea Nayacalevu, Niko Matawalu, Nemani Nagusa, Levani Botia, Joeli Lutumailagi and skipper, Setefano Cakau.

Players will attend a three-day training camp at the Queen Elizabeth barracks in Nabua.

The Glasgow 7s will be held from May 5-6 and Fiji pool games will be against Zimbabwe, Portugal and Argentina.

Fiji is six points behind series leaders, New Zealand (128) while South Africa (105), England (104) and Samoa (101) complete the top five.
