The Vodafone Fiji 7s team is heading into the Dubai and South Africa 7s a much fitter unit than the one that claimed the Gold Coast title last month.
The man tasked with keeping the player’s fitness up to par, trainer Nacanieli Cawanibuka says this is especially so for the nine survivors from the opening leg of the series and commended the players for being faithful to their training programs.
‘’I guess for this team, we’ve really set the benchmark high so it’s still work in progress. What they have achieve going into this leg, while it’s a step-up from the previous one, I think we still have room for improvement as far as the series is concerned’’.
The Osea Kolinisau-led side will face France in its first pool match at 6:44pm next Friday and later meet Brazil at 9:44pm.
Fiji will then take on Argentina at 1:52am on Saturday.
