Fiji 7s matches best performance

The Vodafone Fiji’s side has matched its best performance so far in the World Sevens Series since the 1999/2000 event.

Fiji has already won the Gold Coast, Las Vegas and Hong Kong legs of the current series and has matched the number of wins from the 2011/2012 and 2005/2006 series.

Only in the 1999/2000 series had Fiji won more tournaments (5).

The Ben Ryan coached side team has a chance of making it four wins in this series this weekend in the Tokyo 7’s.

A win for Fiji this weekend will mean a guaranteed top spot on the standings as they head into the final two legs in England in Scotland.

Meanwhile in Tokyo this weekend, the side takes on Wales at 1pm on Saturday, Hong Kong at 4.18pm and England at 8.30pm.

The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals will be played on Sunday.
