Fiji 7s gear up for tough pool

February 3, 2016 4:05 am

The Vodafone Fiji 7s side is gearing up for a brutal outing in the pool stages of the Sydney 7s this weekend.

While Samoa and France will be no push-overs, Coach Ben Ryan sees Argentina as the team to pose the biggest challenge on Day One for the World Series Champions.

“I’m sure they are learning every time they lose to us and I expect an incredibly tight game against Argentina. Samoa, the Pacific Island rivalry is going to be fierce in this game and it’s going to be the opening game of the tournament so I expect to have a very close battle. Then we’ve got France who we all know beat us in Cape Town; one of only two games that we have lost all season.”
